5 data center projects found in Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality air permit and construction stormwater records dated April 26 to October 26, 2026, in Madison, Warren, Lauderdale and DeSoto counties. 3 give equipment counts: 420 diesel generators in Compass's Jun 24, 2026 permit in Meridian, plus counts from earlier permits for Amazon in Canton (Dec 16, 2025) and xAI's Southaven power plant (Mar 11, 2026). Every project links to its government record.

MDEQ Permit Board agendas were mostly unreadable scanned files, Public Service Commission dockets named no data center, and we could not read city records in Jackson or most Southaven agendas or check county boards such as Rankin and Jefferson Davis, so local zoning steps are missing; this is a sample, not a complete list.
